Reconstruction of Railway Overpass Niederbiegen Wolfegger

Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Project Description

The existing railway overpass (EÜ) at km 173.518 in Baden-Württemberg is a single-span steel bridge that is being reconstructed. The new structure will be built as a trough bridge (Trogbrücke), with an overall length between end bearings of 25.72/25.92 m and a structure width of 13.10 m (at the cornice edge). The clear span between abutments is at least 2.00 m, providing a clear height of 6.046 m, well above the required minimum of 5.70 m. The bridge has a construction depth of 1.08 m and a structural depth of 1.38 m, and it crosses at an angle of 146.7 gon.

The bridge deck covers approximately 353  m².

Our Work

Our primary focus is on the structural design of the new trough bridge, from the steel superstructure to the abutments. This includes the detailed structural design (work stages 4-5 / LP4-5) of the new structure and coordinating the BIM model throughout the design process.
