Expansion North of Lengenwang

Ostallgäu, Germany

Project Description

This project comprises the new construction of a railway overpass (EÜ) at railway-km 9+563 west of Sigratsbold, together with the widening of state road St 2008 north of Lengenwang, in the Ostallgäu district, from road-km 4+603 to road-km 7+137.

Both structures are reinforced concrete bridges. The railway overpass (EÜ) is designed for rail traffic loads (Load Model 71 and SW/0) and has a bridge deck area of approximately 67 sqm, an overall length of 9.00 m, a clear span of 7.00 m and an overall width of 7.41 m. The road overpass (SÜ) is designed for road traffic loads (DIN EN 1991-2, Load Model 1) and has a bridge deck area of approximately 127 sqm, the same overall length and clear span as the EÜ, and an overall width of 13.973 to 14.112 m. Both structures cross at an angle of 100.01 gon and provide a clear height of at least 4.50 m.

Our Work

Our primary focus is on the structural design of both the railway overpass and the road overpass, from the reinforced concrete superstructures to the abutments. This includes the detailed structural design (work stages 4-5 / LP4-5) of both structures and coordinating the BIM model throughout the design process.
