Berlin, Germany
The S-Bahn S21 project in Berlin involves the construction of an 800-meter-long railway line, which includes a 609m long tunnel and a 191m long trough. The line creates a north-south connection, passing through key interchange stations such as Hauptbahnhof, Potsdamer Platz, and Gesundbrunnen.
The project section that gbc engineers works on is built using open construction methods. The station slab is constructed with cut-and method (supporting structure with subsequent slab extension).
