This project involves the new construction of a technical center as part of the plant expansion for Ypsomed Produktion GmbH, in Schwerin, Germany.
The technical center comprises three storeys, including a staircase core with an elevator. The third storey (workshop area) provides roof-level access to the adjoining production hall, and connects to it via a BFT fire-rated wall. The facade consists of micro-profiled insulated sandwich panels, so there are no concrete exterior walls between the columns except toward the production hall.
The building has a total gross floor area of approximately 2,804 m².
Our primary focus is on the structural design of the new technical center, including its connection to the adjoining production hall. This includes the detailed structural design (work stages 4-5 / LP4-5), the workshop design of the precast elements, and coordinating the BIM model throughout the design process.
